Our Client is seeking a motivated professional to support our growing energy practice as a FERC Program Manager. Their Energy practice includes: fossil-fired power generation, electrical transmission lines and substations, wind power generation, solar power generation, natural gas pipelines (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and non-FERC regulated), compressor stations, and other related facilities. This opportunity is for a proven effective Project Manager with FERC and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) permitting experience. The successful candidate will be a strong technical leader with established agency and energy industry relationships, and have experience with environmental permitting related to energy projects. The successful candidate also will contribute to proposal and business development efforts.
 
Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- A BS or MS degree in an applicable field (i.e., environmental science/policy, natural resource management,  engineering, environmental planning, biology, ecology, or a closely related discipline).
- Possess 8 to 15 years of professional experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience in working with commercial clients.
- Possess experience with FERC and NEPA related to linear projects
- Experience with comprehensive environmental processes, including Siting Boards, BLM, USFS, USFWS, COE, as well as experience with federal, state and local regulators.
- Candidates must have a working understanding of the system planning and engineering aspects of energy facilities.
- Candidates for this role will provide input and management of regulatory reviews and preparation of local, state and
federal permit applications, resource analysis, corridor identification, route refinement, agency consultation, and public outreach.
- Candidates should possess a strong interest and commitment to the field, be able to demonstrate past success in
managing projects of this type, and working within a group and independently to perform projects and help grow the
Energy practice.
- Be a strong strategic thinker, problem-solver, communicator, and technical report writer/editor.
- The ability to handle multiple tasks and coordinate effectively with others.
