The Project Manager will join a strong and expanding Energy Program in a large, well established firm. Some of the projects are fossil-fired power generation, O&G transmission, LNG terminals, electrical transmission lines and substations, wind power generation, solar power generation, natural gas pipelines (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and non-FERC regulated), compressor stations, and other related facilities.

Firm works as projects proponents and as 3rd party. The company has a very robust Energy program, with lots of strong and mature members. The project backlog is very solid as well. There is a lot of contact with state and federal regulatory agencies, and this position will bring strong exposure to working with these agencies.

  • A BS or MS degree in an applicable field (i.e., environmental science/policy, natural resource management, engineering, environmental planning, biology, ecology, or a closely related discipline).
  • Possess experience with FERC and NEPA related to linear projects. (Experience with the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA) a plus.)
  • Possess 8 to 15 years of professional experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience in working with commercial clients.
  • Experience with comprehensive environmental processes, including Siting Boards, BLM, USFS, USFWS, COE, as well as experience with federal, state and local regulators.
  • Working understanding of the system planning and engineering aspects of energy facilities.
  • Provide input and management of regulatory reviews and preparation of local, state and federal permit applications, resource analysis, corridor identification, route refinement, agency consultation, and public outreach.
  • A strong interest and commitment to the field, be able to demonstrate past success in managing projects of this type, and working within a group and independently to perform projects and help grow the Energy practice.
