The Vice President / National Lead will primarily be focused on the Mid-Atlantic region, and can potentially be based out of any of the company's office locations in that area.

The Vice President/ National Lead for Transmission Siting and Permitting Services is a high visibility / impact position. 




Work on a regional or national basis with multiple offices pursuing and executing transmission siting and permitting and other energy project

Lead in pursuit and booking new work, developing client relationships and account plans, determining optimal personnel within client organization to cultivate relationships to win new business and maintain existing relationships. 

Participate in professional conferences and professional association committees, should be well known in the siting and permitting market place. 




  • Bachelor’s degree required; prefer a Master’s degree in environmental sciences, planning or engineering


  • Able to develop and implement a program realizing $10 million in annual sales


  • A minimum of 20 years of successful consulting experience with energy clients and projects with a strong emphasis on electric transmission


  • Currently employed in a senior leadership position providing transmission siting and permitting services on a regional, but preferably a national basis; working with multiple office locations, setting direction for nationwide marketing and sales in conjunction with other key transmission managers


  • Proven Client development skills and relationships with clients in several regions of the US and having relationships with significant utilities and developers


  • Strong project management qualifications and experience with transmission lines including managing projects, dealing with state and federal regulators, providing technical oversight and providing expert testimony


  • Proven project management for significant electric transmission siting and permitting projects and clients


  • National recognition in the transmission market place including ability to identify and recruit key staff and managers


  • This position requires proven relationships with transmission clients and a successful track record in business development including marketing of consulting services, proposal preparation and client development


  • This senior position requires a team-oriented professional capable of communicating effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, and staff professionals in multiple locations
